Lets today take a look on some shoe details: With the new Second life Viewer 2+, and with the actually Phoenix Viewer you can use now alpha layers. What is an Alpha Layer, or what can do? Let me show you with examples of some simple pumps:
I made all pictures in my studio using a transparent prim to show all details:
So i made the pictures in my studio
When a designer/builder prepare a shoe base for High Heels or Pumps, they feet will look as something like this:

In the past the shoe builders used invisible prims to hide all bodyparts which should not be seen. But:When ever the shoe wearer was near or onto a transparent ground, the invisible prims becomes visible, as to be seen in the next picture:

The same Picture made WITHOUT a transparent ground:

Using the Alpha Layer a builder can hide now pieces of the body in other way – this would look for example so:
Feet using Alpha Layers
This offers the Shoe Designer/Builder the possibility, to build a shoe without any invisible prims, AND without any scripts:

For me the most sexy way to wear a shoe – smiles !!!
