Je t’aime sexy Fashion fundraises Virtual Ability group with 20,000 l$

After the really superb fundraising campaign organized by some fashion manufacturers in Second Life, during which many millions of Linden dollars have been raised, Mascha Boa, owner of Je t’aime fashion, thought about possibilities of further and even more effective ways of fundraising.

We have already reported that Mascha has prepared so-called sales vendors for helping disabled people. Last sunday, after a presentation of the donation, the vendors were handed over.

Visitors soon noticed that Mascha had been really concerned about the problems of the disabled. Main topic was the question how to provide them uncomplicated help for managing their Second Life in a successful way.

First ideas of a basic donation of 500 Lindens had been refused as too low after a thorough discussion. Soon it came clear that a newbie is only accepted in the society of SL residents by the use of appropriate clothing and shape / skin.

Everybody may understand that disabled people who are obliged to control their PC and navigate by language software, have much more difficulties to earn money in SL, or even to manufacture something themselves. By that reason the Je-t’aime-company searched for a kind of comprehensive all-round package. As the company is selling not only clothing but also skins and shapes, the basic donation was doubled without further ado. Thus, each new group member has 1000 Linden dollars available.

During the meeting, 20 vendors, each amounting 1000 Linden dollars were handed over to the group vice president Mrs.Erne Capalini, so that the donation sums up to 20.000 Linden dollars totally. Mascha Boa revealed immediately after, she understands her donation not as a singular event, but the group can be sure of always being in a position to equip their members in an appropriate way, also in the future, in order to ease their first steps into Second Life.

The vice president of the Virtual Ability group was really pleased about this valuable donation for her friends. If ever possible I guarantee she would have had some tears of joy in her eyes.

Every 3 hours per day Je t’aime will give a prize to a randomly selected person who:

1. Has one of the Je t’aime stores correctly listed in their Profile under the Picks tab in its entirety.
2. Has clicked on of the Contest boards in our stores to be entered and eligible to be selected as a winner.

If you are randomly selected as a winner, your profile will be reviewed to make sure you meet the requirements to win.
If you satisfy those requirements, you’ll receive a congratulatory instant message from Mascha Boa, and she will send you your prize.
Winners stay in the Contest selection pool, they must NOT enter again by clicking on the board to be eligible for the next drawing.

If you do not meet the requirements, you will receive an instant message from Mascha Boa explaining what you need to do to be eligible to win.

How to add Je t’aime to your Profile Picks:

1. Make sure you are standing in the Je t’aime parcel
2. Right click your avatar and click Profile
3. Click on the “Picks” tab on the top
4. Click the New button
5. Click OK on the bottom of the profile to close it
6. Ensure you enabled showing profile in search

The contest boards are located near the landing points. If you click at the bottom of the sign you will get a copy of these instructions.

No purchase is necessary to be eligible. Winners may win multiple.
Je t’aime will honor the chosen winners and will send them the prize immediately (or in case of SL problems, as soon as possible). If Second Life is down for maintenance or if problems, such as transaction borks, persist throughout the day, there may be no winner selected until Second Life returns to “normal”.

WHAT:
One World One Hope – Je’taime offers you a marketplace dedicated to “Relay For Life.” Everybody and every team can use this with just a small Market-License fee of 100L which is also donated to the American Cancer Society.

WHY:
Our goal is to create a collection of designers from all over the grid who will offer their latest designs as well as
items that have been available for some time, including discounted older clothes. We’d like the marketplace to offer something for everyone … fashions for both men and women and in every style imaginable.

Anybody can offer products, but only RFL donated vendors must be used to do so – this is to ensure that 100% of every sale goes directly to the American Cancer Society.

If you are interested in being involved in this great way to both market your Company and help a worthy charity, please contact a member of our committee.

Many thanks to the organisers of the 2009 Clothing Fair. Such a huge undertaking never comes off so smoothly without a lot of work. To the contributors and shoppers, again thank you for proving once again what is possible with an outpouring of generosity and heart. To the sufferers, survivors, and families of those battling cancer, our prayers, and hopes that money raised will find the cure we all hope for.

This year our Team Je t’aime for Relay for Life was proud to raise $L50 743 for the cause. Thank you to all who helped. Mascha Boa and Marscha Lowey each donated $L12 500, as they’d promised to do when the team reached the $L50 000 goal.

All together the fair raised millions of $L, 4.5 Million from the Relay Raiders(the organisers) alone. Today “Relay for Life of Second Life” reached 11 Million $L- thats more than 40.000 US dollars! What an amazing feat! I applaud you all loudly.

But…….we’re not done yet! The relay continues until the middle of July.

Je t’aime are preparing a Marketplace for Relay for Life. Don’t delete your rfl donated vendors because you’ll need them to take part. Every team will be welcome, the site at our wonderful Je táime Sexy Fashion sim thrown open free of charge to further help this worthy cause. More info coming soon.

Giant Snail Trails

Je táime is proud to be involved with the 2009 Giant Snail Races, part of the fundraising events in Relay for Second Life. All funds raised go to the American Cancer Society for their cancer research and international programs.

There was bedlam on the streets this morning as the first Giant Snail Race slimed its way through 45 sims of chaos. Phew! If you’ve never driven a giant snail let me tell you its not as easy as I thought…hats off to the expert molluscs. Sliding through the back of the snail in front was disconcerting to say the least. Made me wonder if I was commiting some form of invertebrate sexual assault. Sad to say I didn’t win the race, but as many said afterwards, we’re all winners since we raised much needed funds to battle cancer.

Have to love that drowned snail with just his eyes above water. Having been thrown off the bridge myself by the lag monsters, I can sympathise with the soused snails plight.

Think this looks like fun? Well it was! If you regret missing today’s event, make sure you get to the next big snail race on 16th of May, then next is 20th June.
